08 E60 Shifting Rough

Maybe it's me adjusting from my 05 530i to the beast that is the 08 550i, but it seems that it shifts rough. Hurky jerky when I am accelerating is the best way to describe it. Much of my driving is done on city streets and it is stop & go. It almost seems as if i need to feather my touch on the gas pedal to ensure smooth shifting in either S or M model at speeds between 0-30MPH!?

Any other E60 owners out there notice this? Is it me or could it be a defect in mine?

Probably the V8 engine revs up and down faster than your 530i. Faster revving up means faster revving down. A bit of pressure to the accelerator slows the revving down, and provides smoother upshifts.
