the climate control bolwer motors on my 98 740i are not working, fuses are ok. from reading past posts on this i do understand that replacing blower motors are a horror story! what about the resistor? is that difficult as well? two weeks ago i had the front window defogger going full blast for quite a while and after some time i did start to smell some subtle BURNING but everything was working fine. last night i got in the car and although the control unit does illuminate the fans are dead. how many blower moters are there? one for each side? if there are two motors how likely is it that they will go at the same time? is the resistor an easy DIY project?
