Oil change at 1200 miles service ?

I did some research and found out there is a very blurry line between weather or not oil change in included in 1200 miles service.

Is there any solid documentation I could bring to kind of "push" my dealer to do it free?

If there isn't, how much am I going to pay to get that done?

Thats a good question Achen. Its not listed Under the Owner's Circle that they change the oil. I'm just giving you information from personal experience.

However on the '01, they original used convetional oil and switched me over to synthetic at the 1200 mile service.

all 2003 will have there engine oil, transmission and rear diff fluids change, the 2001 and 2002 models do not get the engine oil changed out, but gets the rest.

All M3s built 08/02 and later get the motor oil changed. This was a change initiated by BMW.

I know this for a fact because my 07/02 didn't get the oil change. When I contacted BMW NA to ask what the differences were between my 07/02 engine and the 08/02 engine, they could not find any differences. So I then asked why the cars 1 month newer than mine do get an oil change, again they had no answer. But they did call my dealership and asked them to change my oil for free.

2002 M3 with 11/2001 production date. Oil was changed out @1200 with no charge.
