From the looks of previous threads, I must be in big trouble. It looks as though I busted my timing belt? I'm not sure whether the engine would continue to turn but not start - but I'm attaching the picture of what I found. I think it's the head. Didn't see this coming at all. High mileage car with greate reliabilty and very well maintained.

Sorry it's such a large photo. I found it in the crank case lodged in the corner. At first I was thinking great....I must have broken the timing belt and/or cracked the head, but the engine cranks, just won't turn. No busted hoses, leaks, etc. I've been searching some local junk yards to find a whole new crankshaft with the rocker arms.
