I just picked up a 2001 530 to replace my 1999 528 that was wrecked a month ago and the first time it rained and I turned the wipers on to intermittent they occasionally would go to full time and then back to intermittent and then back to full time. Any ideas what controls this and where it is?
I think they are working fine. If the 5 is like the 3, it is a rain sensing system. The more water on the windshield the more frequently they cycle, and in heavier rain they will cycle full time.
