I was having electrical issues with my 540 after having the battery jumped (no tach, gas guage, etc.). I read on here somewhere to try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins, which we did. It worked! All is well again.

I'd called the dealer this morning to schedule an appt. But, after we had success, I called to cancel, telling them what we did. What's aggravating is they surely knew about what we did to fix it. Why didn't they tell us to try that first, rather than drive over 100 miles (one way!) to the dealership?!?!? To top it off, when I called about it, I asked if the ext. warranty would cover it, since it was electrical. (It's a Certified Pre-Owned). The guy said it depended on what was wrong with it.

I'm glad I found this site. Thanks to whomever it was that had that tip...you may have just saved me a lot of $$$$.

Vicki =)
