putting a cd player where tape player is

I just got a 1994 318i sedan and it doesnt have a cd player. i see that it has the connection in the trunk, but i was wondering if i could disconnect the tape player and connect a cd player there b/c i dont want to screw up the computeres. i also have a volfenhag sub and audiobahn amp that i want to hook up to the cd player and im not sure if the which spot the cdplayer goes so i can hook the amp to it.

just take the radio out and put a aftermarket cd radio in easy
